History of Adachi Farm
The ancestors of our manager emigrated to present ground, Kaizu city, Gifu Prefecture as a pioneer of the agriculture.
Pioneers performed base maintenance to grow rice in approximately 1650 in Kaizu city.
It is said that culture to cultivate the field began in 1764 by cows.
After that, culture to eat the cows which finished farming use spread out.
In 1955, the improvement as the kind of meat use started in substitution for farming use.
Ancestors started breeding cow for farming use, then in 1970 our manager started breeding 80 meat use cow.
After that, Hida beef brand was established and expanded to throughout Japan from Gifu Prefecture in 1988.
Now, Hida beef gained many excellent results as brand leader in National Japanese Beef Ability Expo held once in five years.
Our manager established Adachi Farm Co., Ltd. in 2008.
Now we breed about 1200 Japanese Black beef cattles.
96% of beef to ship are authorized by Hida beef.
We are always highly ranked in all Hida beef production farmers.
Utilization of regional environment
for characteristics
Our farm location is blessed naturally beautiful area that is surrounded by mountains and the river of cleanest water.
There are huge paddy field in the vast land.
It's obviously beautiful place and having great condition of feeding Hida cattle.
Here is rice field zone along Mts. Yoro and a delta zone among Nagara river and Ibi riber.
A huge amount of ground water which is the benefit of natural environments is best for cattle comfortably.
Such a fertile land is suitable not only for farming, but also for raising cows.
Kaizu city is one of the top-class rice production area in Japan.

Each cattle have the ID number.
The Japanese Black is registered by the nose print certification.
Their nose print is different in each other and the form doesn’t change for life.
We are managing cattle with date through our data base system.
We are learning from Data base with past knowledge and experience.
The cow health management, history from born to ship, medical history, and injured information, are proof of confident between suppliers and customers.
It is important to accumulate cow condition and beef classification data to continue making delicious beef.
To use nourishment balanced formula feed which include six kinds of ceseals is indispensable to raise the best Hida Beef cattle. We don’t use antibiotics in feed.
Processing developers of the feed maker, researchers for improvement of Wagyu and the members of farm are continuously learning how cattle grows in healthy condition and analysis how we can make great beef.
After harvesting rice from huge paddy field, we feed rice straw to cattle and we use rice hull as cattle's bed.
Such rice straws and leaves are one of suitable feed for raising Japanese Black “Wagyu”.

The cattle barn is under controlling in a sanitary condition due to prevent pathogen entering there.
